Meyland-Smith is starting a research collaboration with a number of danish educational institutions and companys from northern Jutland.
Meyland-Smith is currently initiating a research project within the Centre for Health Technology – a centre consisting of among others Aalborg University Hospital, Centre for Sensory-Motor Interaction at the University of Aalborg and the College for educating Occupational Therapists.
The purpose of the research project is to contribute to extending the general level of knowledge within the company about various disabilities, their progression and the needs for rehabilitation and assistive technology connected to these disabilities. The project will be carried out in cooperation with a number of users of assistive technology but is of course also aiming to utilize the large amounts of knowledge and expertise possessed by the educational institutions involved.
The result of the project will contribute to form the basis for current as well as future development projects at Meyland-Smith but will also enhance the knowledge in the sales- and service areas of the company.
