My husband is suffering from muscular dystrophy ( ALS). As the arms, hands and balance was damaged, was rolator and standing units (pulpit/Talerstol) useless. Notwithstanding legs were strong, the municipality's assessment was therefore, that only a wheelchair could help.
But then we found a Meywalk walker that gave my husband the freedom back., it gave the support that was needed due to the lack of balance, and made it possible for my husband to walk again - and without support.
As the decision makers from the municipality usually had considered the vehicle in connection with other types of disabilities, they did not consider this as an option ALS citizens - but this com
